The KressWorks Foundation Systematic Treatment Methodology (STM) approach has been validated through the excellent work of X-Y Zhang, MR Birtwistle and JM Gallo at Department of Pharmacology and Systems Therapeutics, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, They have provided proof of principle of the PK/ePD method developed based on biochemical mechanisms and produced unique drug combination regimens that support systems pharmacological approaches in translational medicine.

This methodology is at the core of our STM and the work of Zhang et al clearly demonstrates we are on the right path.

Their work can be found at: "A General Network Pharmacodynamic Model–Based Design Pipeline for Customized Cancer Therapy Applied to the VEGFR Pathway". Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology (2014) 3, e92; doi:10.1038/psp.2013.65 © 2014 ASCPT

See our presentation materials for more information on the STM.  A copy of the paper by X-Y Zhang, MR Birtwistle and JM Gallo can found here

It ended with a great summary:

“In today’s cancer research and clinical institutions, we find a proliferation of the pursuit of answers to individual questions, but we believe a coordinated systems engineering approach is the key for developing a cure.”
