The KressWorks Foundation will host a fun and informative fundraiser from 6 to 9 pm at the Rust Belt, 22801 Woodward in Ferndale, featuring guest speaker and cancer survivor Ms. LaHoma Caudill, reigning Ms. California for 2015, Mrs. California 2012, and 3rd runner up in Ms. America 2015.
LaHoma will talk about her ordeal with cancer and the importance of supporting organizations like The KressWorks Foundation that are working to find a cure for the disease. She will also do a meet and greet and sign autographs. Also at the event will be noted author Trudy Krisher, whose daughter is a Ewing’s Sarcoma survivor, a rare event. Her widely praised book, Kathy’s Hats, chronicles her daughter’s ordeal in battling Ewing’s.
Tickets for the event are $200 per person or $350 per couple and include passed appetizers, beer and wine.  Dr. Jim Kress will also be giving a brief presentation on the motivation, goals, objectives, and accomplishments of the KressWorks Foundation and its work with Ewing’s Sarcoma. Only 200 tickets are available and can be purchased by RSVP to Jamie Cremin at 646/207-3174 or jamielcremin@gmail.com by October 8th.
